Sponsor of BIBA’s Construction Business of the Year one of construction's fastest growing companies
The construction industry in Lancashire is definitely benefiting from the recovery, with new developments popping up throughout the county. We take a look at Lancashire-based Rowland Homes' outlook.
Rowland Homes is one of the fastest growing construction companies in the country and has been expanding in line with recent PMI results. Being based in Leyland, Lancashire (which isn’t that far from our headquarters in Longridge) and having sponsored the BIBA’s Construction Business of the Year category this year, we were interested in their founder, Paul Rowley’s thoughts on the industry.
Discussing the construction industry in Lancashire, Rowley said: “In Lancashire, we still see a lot of opportunities and I think a strong house-building industry in the county can only be good for construction as a whole and the wider economy.”
On the state of the housing market more generally, Rowley commented: “The demand for new homes is still strong and with low interest rates, house-builders are still looking for further development which can only bode well for the future.
“What we need is strong but sustainable growth; this industry is often volatile in the peaks and troughs it swings between but we seem to be on a steady course at the moment.”
It's great to see such an inspiring construction business joining us in taking a positive and leading role in supporting the construction industry in our local area and beyond.
The BIBAs is the North West’s leading business awards and they're very close to our heart! We've been lucky enough to win a number of them in the past, and more recently our CEO, Norman Tenray, has been a judge; this year he chaired the judging panels for the Most Inspiring Business of the Year and the Small Business of the Year.
