The National Access and Scaffolding Confederation has announced further funding for their 4th Qualifying The Workforce (QTW) programme has been secured.

NASC members are able to apply for the QTW programme to apply for a payment of £125 for eligible employees qualified with CISRS Scaffolder, Advanced Scaffolder or Scaffolding Supervisor since 1st September 2013.

The 4th Qualifying The Workforce (QTW) programme will begin at the start of January next year, following on the from successes of the previous QTW programmes involving NASC members which ran between 2012 and 2014.

The CITB will be funding the QTW programme not only to pay out to the membership as well as promoting the idea of a fully qualified workforce.

NASC Director of Training, Dave Mosley said: “NASC & CISRS would like to thank the CITB for their continued support, which allows us to promote QTW and make a small bonus payment to the members who spend a lot of time and money maintaining a qualified workforce – helping to make the scaffolding industry a safer place.”

Non-NASC members are able to attend one of the NASC three day Basic Scaffold Inspection Training Scheme (SITS) courses.

Dave Mosley added: “The CITB Specialists department have been extremely helpful highlighting the possibilities of accessing additional funding for new and developing training programmes. This fitted perfectly with the introduction of the three day Scaffold Inspection Training Scheme (SITS) courses. This funding is very welcome and makes the transition from two to three day courses a little easier for the industry.”
