Eric Wright Construction has announced they've been appointed for a huge £11m office project, consisting of a flagship office building in the Wirral Enterprise Zone for Longmeadow Estate.


The Lancashire-based construction firm whose owner Eric Wright, was this year named Lancastrian of the Year by the BIBA awards, is now on site in Birkenhead starting the development phase of the £11m Tower Wharf which is due to be completed in October 2015.


Jonathon Rayner, Eric Wright Construction’s operations director, said: “We’re really pleased to have been appointed to deliver this project and to have kick-started development work at the Enterprise Zone.


“In addition to building on our extensive commercial experience, this project will deliver much needed accommodation and employment opportunities for a scheme which will boost business and generate investment into the area for many years to come.”

The scheme to develop Tower Wharf involves the construction of a four-storey Grade A office building which will comprise of 48,000 sq ft on a partially contaminated site.


It’s anticipated that the new project will accommodate 800 news jobs in the area and the building is the first of its kind to be created in the Wirral Enterprise Zone.
