Contractors have been invited to prequalify to construct the new Royal Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital and Eastman Dental Hospital on a new University College London Hospitals site.

The £50m project will be the first health scheme set to attain BIM maturity level 3 (aka Open BIM), which will see a central model being held which all parties can access and modify.

The whole tender process, design and build (including supply chain and building products) will be managed through BIM and will continue to be used as a management tool by The Trust following the construction phase.

The new 100,000 sq ft facility will be built on the former UCL student union building site, which is based off Huntley Street and will be housed over a new 8 floor structure to provide flexible diagnostic and day treatments for outpatient.

Project Managers on the scheme are RCPM, Steffian Bradley Architects have designed the phase 5 project which should take two years to complete and is due to start within 12 months.
