Conlon Construction, who won Construction Business of the Year at this year's BIBAs, are hoping to meet with subcontractors from the North West who are interested in winning future projects.

The event will take place at Bolton Whites Hotel in Bolton on the 17th September to attempt to get both sides of the industry together.

Conlon Construction is looking for a new supply chain to assist with the delivery of their recently-awarded four-year EFA Framework which consists of new and refurbished buildings across the entire national school estate.

The event is aimed at detailing how subcontractors can submit bids for work on the framework as well as offering hints and tips for the tendering process.

Claire Makin, business development manager at Constructionline, said: “Hosting events like this are at the heart of what we do – we want to help suppliers secure work and we want to make it easier for those behind projects to find reliable, local construction companies.

“It can be challenging for small businesses to get involved in projects on their doorsteps so it’s great to see Conlon Construction sourcing local subcontractors.”

Andrew Makinson, Divisional Director at Conlon Construction, said: “An event like this helps us access a variety of suppliers in the North West, who are keen to engage with us as part of our supply chain procurement plan.

“Using local supply chain partners enables us to contribute to the local economy as well as serve the local community, and at the same time help us to access a range of professional disciplines who can enhance and develop our supply chain”.
